ubuntu 12.04 version that runs on server with ATI rage xl graphics
I cannot install or run mythbuntu 12.04 on my server, after jumping through hoops (nomodeset' vga=771) I can get it installed but then I can't get a desktop (blank screen, or "output not supported" on monitor after reboot. I dont need any fancy graphics but I think this should work, my tyan thunder dual optron board is more than capable of handling mythtv backend but has no way of updating the graphics cards (only has PCI and PCI-X slots, no PCIE slots) so I am stuck with the ATI Rage XL onboard video. Ubuntu 10.10 worked is there a way to get the video setup from that version on 12.04?
